Approve via Macquarie Authenticator
If the request includes anOpening deposit, the user(s) with authorise level access on the account you’re paying from will need to have their mobile device close by so they can complete the approval using the Macquarie Authenticator app.
The Macquarie Authenticator app sends users with authoriser level access push notifications to verify transactions and account changes so it’s as easy as tapping a button to approve or decline an action on your account in real time.

How long it takes to open an account
If your request has been fully approved before 3pm (Sydney time) on a business day, the account will be opened on the same day. If the request is approved after 3pm (Sydney time) or on a non-business day, your account will be opened on the next business day.
What happens next?
You’ll receive a notification in MBO once the account has been opened and ready for you to use. You can see this by selecting the bell icon at the top right-hand side of the page.
In the meantime, we recommend exploring our Help Centre to learn more about managing your new account.
